Here’s to the New Year!
Ok, so this blogging concept is new to me, and I’m trying to get the hang of it. I don’t make new year’s resolutions, but am leaning towards a theme for the new year, “Simply Your Life”. I started yesterday by setting up a new bookcase in the kitchen and cleaning out old cookbooks. They went the way of the local thrift shop, so at least they might find a new home and not a landfill somewhere. The next step is to organize my home office.
My business was started rather quickly, almost as an after thought. So organizing wasn’t in the original plan. I know, not the best way to start a business, but it is what it is. And now, it’s time to re-group and move forward. The new year always starts with such a hope or promise of great things to come and a renewed energy. Off with the old, on with the new so to speak.
In that vein of thought, I’m trying out a new course of study to help move me along in my artistic endeavors, and get me back on track to my heart’s desires. Check out the courses offered at http://lindakemshall.com/ for some fabulous eye candy, then also check out http://www.thr3foldjournal.com/ and see if they don’t inspire you to be creative. This year I will start out by beginning a new idea or creativity journal to record new ideas, techniques, colors, designs, etc that inspire me.
These are two new photos taken out my backdoor at sunrise. They were taken about 5 minutes apart, and the colors amazing. They will be the first entries in my journal.
I challenge everyone out there to step up and try something new this year!
